Using CPS
The CPS software is a propriatory suite from Motorola Solutions to configure your Mototrbo digital radio infrastructure. This tutorial aims at configuring your radio frequencies, your call IDs, your call groups, and finally setting-up the radios to use the USB port located on the backpanel of the radios.
Seting-up the radio ID and the group call ID
Open the CPS software and read the configuration from the radio.Set-up the Radio ID as 01 to set-up the radio IP address to 12.0.0.1. Set-up the group Call ID to 10 to set-up the radio submask to 255.0.0.10.
The Radio ID is accessible from the Radio General Settings tab.
The GroupCall ID is accessible from the Contacts/Digital/ tab. The first thing to do is to add a contact setting-up its GroupID. Then add that Group as part of the RX Group Lists. We are now in a position to Define a 'SCADA Channel' which listens+talks to that GroupList (set-up the RX Group List+ Set-up the TX Group List). Finally, add that SCADA Channel into the Scan List. Remember to update the Scan/Roam List to the Channel Tab and tick the AutoScan function.
-Set-up the General/ Settings Microphone to listen to the Rear Accessories to establish a USB connection.
-Set-up the Accessories Cable Type to Rear Data Accessory.
-Set-up the radio network to forward to PC via Non-IP Peripherial.
