The Man-in-water solution uses a bluetooth sensor, an Evolve phone, an android APP and a life-jacket. This pages describes the terms & conditions using this service.
The Man-In-Water detector device is designed as an emergency system to detect when a man falls in sea water. The solution is defined as safety system envolope to automatically trigger a seach & response operation and establish a link with the country’s authorities that may provide additional assistance. The system includes:
a bluetooth sea water detector (Datamaitk AS)
a professional radio (DP4XXX or DP3XXX or Evolve by Motorola Solutions)
a life jacket fitting the professional radio + sensor pocket (by KI Elements). The water sensor and the radio MUST be used with the sensor pocket designed by Datamatik AS.
a subscription to the Motorola Wave (LTE) infrastructure or alternatively a Mototrbo (DMR) infrastructure, or a radio network configured in direct mode, or alternatively any other GSM network that supports SMS.
The system should be considered as whole (bluetooth sensor+professional radio+lifejacket+water sensor pocket+ access to the infrastructure (LTE/VHF/UHF).
Datamatik AS declines all liability for wrong use of its Man-In-Water solution. By accepting those terms of use, you automatically accept its related Privacy Policy to publish your GPS location to the rescue team.
User Acceptance
By installing the Man-In-Water APP from the Google Play store and answering YES (ticking the combo-boxes) during the first run-up of the app after installation, the user acceps the above terms & conditions.
